DEEP and OVHcloud officially sign strategic sovereign cloud partnership

Sovereign cloud: official launch of a strategic partnership between DEEP and OVHcloud to strengthen Europe's strategic autonomy
Luxembourg, 31 March 2025
On Monday 31 March 2025, DEEP by POST Group and OVHcloud officially signed a strategic partnership for the implementation of a sovereign Cloud in Luxembourg, in the presence of the Minister for the Economy, SMEs, Energy and Tourism, Lex Delles.
This partnership reflects the shared commitment of DEEP and OVHcloud to strengthening digital sovereignty in Europe. Based on OVHcloud's solutions, DEEP intends to offer its customers a cloud offering that meets the highest standards in terms of data protection and security, specially adapted to the Luxembourg market, with a commercial launch planned before the end of 2025.
The DEEP Sovereign Cloud will be based on OVHcloud's On-Prem Cloud Platform (OPCP): an integrated cloud platform (hardware and software) that will be hosted and operated autonomously by DEEP in disconnected mode in its own Tier IV-certified data centres in Luxembourg. It should be noted that the first OVHcloud equipment has already been installed in a DEEP datacenter, demonstrating the solidity and reliability of this collaboration.
The cloud services offered by DEEP, which are based on OVHcloud's OPCP solution, will enable Luxembourg businesses and organisations to host their data, particularly the most sensitive and critical data, on an infrastructure with the computing power to meet a wide range of needs, from data storage and business applications to artificial intelligence applications. In addition to secure, disconnected storage, a range of sovereign applications will be made available to customers, offering a variety of tools and services developed by European partners. These applications will make it possible to process, exploit and transform data, while guaranteeing compliance with security and data protection standards.
Sébastien Genesca, Director of DEEP, said: ‘This strategic partnership enables us to offer a fully sovereign and local cloud infrastructure, protected from extraterritorial laws. The solution is suitable for the most sensitive applications, operating in a completely disconnected manner.’
‘We are proud to bring this unique concentration of OVHcloud expertise directly to DEEP. Thanks to our OPCP solution, DEEP will be able to rely on innovative and highly secure cloud solutions to develop tailor-made services for its own customers in Luxembourg. This collaboration once again positions OVHcloud as a trusted technology partner that strengthens the strategic autonomy of European organisations,’ added Benjamin Revcolevschi, Managing Director of OVHcloud.
Minister Lex Delles concluded: ‘This strategic partnership is a concrete example of how European companies can work together to deliver cutting-edge technology solutions, strengthening Europe's technological independence and positioning Luxembourg as an important player in the digital transformation arena.’
The Sovereign Cloud will complement DEEP's existing private and public cloud offerings, providing a comprehensive range tailored to the varied needs of Luxembourg businesses.
